The eighteen (18) winter licenses have proven effective and qualified applicants have been identified for an additional eight (8) licenses. VANTAGES IF APPROVED: The license cap will be raised to reflect the actual demand for taxicab service in the City. ISADVP.NTAGES IF APPROVED: one. ISADVANTAGES IF-NOT APPROVED: The operators who were authorized winter licenses will have to cease operation immediately. Eight qualified applicants will not be authorized to operate licenses that are clearly needed.
