RESOLVED, That upon execution and delivery of a rel ase in full
to the City, in a form to be approved by the City ttorney, the
proper City officers are hereby authorized and dir cted to pay
out of the Tort Liability Fund 09070-511-000, to :
1 . Steven Gedatus the sum of $64. 00 in full settleme t of his
claim of damages sustained on or about March 11 , 986, as
more particularly set out in the Notice of Claim iled in
the City Clerk' s office on March 24 , 1986.
2 . Richard Unger and Aetna Insurance the sum of $2 , 3 3 • 69 in
full settlement of their claim of damages sustain d on or
about January 25 , 1986 , as more particularly set ut in the
Notice of Claim filed in the City Clerk ' s office n February 25 ,
1986 .

M E M 0 R A N D U M
CLAIMS AGAINST CITY OF SAINT PAUL BY
STEVEN GEDATUS and RICHARD UNGER AND
AETNA INSURANCE
On March 11 , 1986 , a vehicle owned by claimant , Steven Gedatus
was towed by Saint Paul Police Department to the impound lot .
Mr . Gedatus wanted to have a private tow company tow his vehicle
which he may requested under Saint Paul Legislative Code 162 . 01 ,
subd . 2 . As a result of the City ' s towing of his car , he incurred
storage fees in the amount of $64 . 00 of which we are reimbursing
him for .
On January 25 , 1986 , a City of Saint Paul snowplow driven by employee ,
Michael Van Wert , backed into a vehicle owned and driv n by Richard
Unger . As a result of the impact , Mr . Unger ' s car sustained damage
in the amount of $2 , 382 . 69 , of which his insurance company , Aetna,
reimbursed him , less his deductible . Our office has s ttled with
Mr . Unger and Aetna for the property damage to his car in the
amout of $2 , 382 . 69 .
