WHEREAS, the current nuclear disaster in western Russia as caused
immediate need for medical relief and support; and
WHEREAS, the citizens of Saint Paul share, along with al Minnesotans,
in the sufferings of our fellow hurnan beings; and
WHEREAS, The American Red Cross will coordinate Nith the City in the
collection and distribution of financial donations to victims of the nuclear
catastrophe; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Saint Paui City Council recommends an supports the
humanitarian effort of the lnternational Red Cross and urges he citizens
of this state to participate through their financial contribu ions to the
Red Cross.
