1 WHEREAS, The Titanic Bxhibition will be the premier attraction in Saint Paul from January l,
2 through April 30, 1999, and;

4 WHEREAS, The Titanic Exhibition will be held at the Saint PauPs Historic Union Depot concourse,
5 and;
7 WHEREAS, The Titanic Exhibition is projected to attract 600,000 attendees including families,
8 students and tourists, and;

10 WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul is an official sponsor of the event, and;
11
12 WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul Employee Services Committee is staging a sponsor night for city
13 employees and their family members to have the opportunity to see the great Titanic Exhibition, and;
14
15 WHEREAS, The city employees and their family members can receive a discount on the tickets
16 through a special promotion offered to sponsors, and;

BE 1T RESOLVED, the City Council declares this event a public purpose event, coordinated by the
Mazketing and Promotions Department, whereby city employees and their family members are allowed
to purchase the reduced price tickets.
