AGREEMENT THIS AGRE�I+IENT, made and entered into this day of , 19 by and between the CITY OF SAINT PAUL, hereinafter refe red to as the "City", and RAMSEY OOUNTY, by a.nd through its Boa.rd of Commissio ers, hereinafter referred to as the "County", both acting pursuant to the provi ion of Minnesota Statutes, Section 471.59: ;I j9ITNESSETH: VIIIHEREAS, the objectives of the program are: 1. To provide the City and County with the skills, motiv ion, creativity, and enthusiasm of college students. 2. To provide the college student with a valua.ble work e rience in local government a.nd at the same time expose her/him to some f the realistic, pragmatic problems in City and County government. 3. To create a liaison between local government and the a demic community, thereby enabling both to utilize more fully the resoure s of the other. NOW, TfiEREF'ORE, by mutual agreement of the parties heret , the following agreement is entered into a.nd made effective as follo�ws: 1. An Urban Corps Intern Work Program sha.11 be caxri d on under the supervision of an Urba.n Corps Coordinator, whose uties shall be as follows: a. Introduce a.nd describe the operational procedure of the Intern Program to the various City and County departments b. To develop within the City and County depar ments meaningful internships. c. To be responsible for the training arid orientati of the intern`s direct supervisor. d. To recruit and place worthwhile interns from th various colleges " under the Urban Corps. _ 2. The Urban Corps Coordinator shall work under the s ervision of the Mayor's Office of Saint Paul. 3. Office space for the Saint Paul Ramsey County C inator will be provided by the City. 4. The total administrative cost of the tasks and pur ses set forth are estimated to be $83,093.00 (Eighty-three Thousand and Ninety-Three Dollars). Of this amount, the County shall pay $4,15 .00 (Four Thousand One Hundred and Fifty-five Dollars), and the City sha 1 pay $?8,938.00 (Seventy-Eight Thousand a.nd Nine Hundred Thirty-Eight llars). ,. , (�-'d'r ' '. � ' ' � �,G�-�,- ��?' The County will pay said amount to the City beginning uary 1, 1986, based on quarterly billings issued by the City. A the end of each contract year, the City sha.11 prepare a financial report indica.ting the total administrative costs of the services prov' ed under this agreement. Should the tota.l cost to the City be less than tha.t stated above, the City shall return to the Couttty 5% of the spent sum at the expiration of the agreement. Should the tota.l costs. to the City be more than that stated above, the County shall pay the City 5% of the sum in excess of the total stated above. 5. This Agreement sha11 terminate December 31, 1986. Hvwe er, either party may terminate the Agreement prior to that time upon ni ety days written notice. Should such right of termination be exercis , then only the pro-rata portion of such installment coming due herein shall be paid or shall the terminating party be liable for.
