99-72aRIGENAI Council File # 9 � ( �► Green Sheet # 3�� � � RESOLUTION CITY OF SAINT PAUL, NIINNESOTA Presented By Referred To Committee: Date .� WI�REAS, the City of Saint Paul provides a variety of recreational acfivities, including 2 4 5 6 7 special events; and WHEREAS, a family ice fishing event is deemed as an appropriate winter activity; and WHEREAS, for a number of years a successful family fishing event has been provided by the City; and WHEREAS, this yeaz an event is being planned for February 6, 1999 at Round Lake, 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 located in the City of Maplewood, Ramsey County; and WHEREAS, the Ramsey County Sheriff's Office has jurisdiction over the County's lakes and waters and requires a hold harmless statement from the users of said lakes and waters; now, therefor, be it RESOLVBD, that the City of Saint Paul agrees to indexnnify and hold harmless Ramsey County and the City of Maplewood for any and all damages it may be required to pay as a result of suits, claims, actions, or judgments arising out of the City's use of Round Lake for a family ice fishing event on February 6, 1999, by reason of any negligent act or omission on the part of the City, its employees, agent or contractors. Nothing in the foregoing shall be construed as a waiver of any defenses, immunities or liability limits on municipal tort liability set forth in Minn. Stat. §466.01 et.seq.
