Section l. That ordinance No. 13537, approved January 31, 1967, is hereby
amended by deleting the follaw�ng frosn Section 2, Subsection (3) , thereof:

Section 2. That Ordinance No. 13537, approved January 31, 1967 is hereby
amended by adding the follcywing to Section 2, Sub-section (3) , thereof:

Section 3. This ordinance shall not be printed as part of the Saint Paul
Legislative Code but shall be incorporated therein by reference.
Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force thirty (30) days from
and after its passage, approval, and publication.

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE COMD4ERCIAL VEHICLE ROUTE ORDINANCE � -
All trucks of 15 ,000 lbs. rated gross weight or under may travel on any
street in the city with the exception of city parks and restricted park-
ways as shown on the map. The gross weight is the rated weight of the
vehicle or combination of vehicles whether or not it is loaded.
All trucks over 15 ,000 lbs. rated gross weight must use the routes
designated on the map except as follows:
Trucks may travel on any street within industrial districts and the
central business district.
When entering or leaving a truck terminal or making a pick-up or delivery,
trucks shall reach or leave such location by traveling over the shortest
route from the nearest truck route. Direct travel between deliveries ,
without returning to truck routes , will be allowed where the distance
between delivery points does not exceed one mile.
For delivery or pick-up purposes, commercial vehicles may travel on
designated parkways between the delivery or pick-up location and adjacent
intersections.
No truck having an overall length of more than thirty feet shall enter
any alley in the central business district except by special police
permit.
Randolph Avenue and St. Clair Avenue between West Seventh Street and
Cleveland Avenue , and Grand Avenue between Dale Street and Cretin Avenue
are not designated truck routes. However, commercial vehicles over
15 ,000 lbs. gross weight when making a delivery, pick-up , or when traveling
to or from a truck terminal , located in the area bounded by Mississippi
River Boulevard, Marshall Avenue , Snelling Avenue , Selby Avenue , Summit
Avenue , Kellogg Boulevard, West Seventh Street , Otto Avenue , and Highland
Parkway, shall consider Randolph Avenue between West Seventh Street and
Cleveland Avenue , St. Clair Avenue between West Seventh Street and
Cleveland Avenue , and Grand Avenue between Dale Street and Cretin Avenue
as truck routes, and all provisions of this ordinance applicable to
truck routes shall apply.
No vehicle 22 ' in length or longer, or 7 ' in width or wider, may park
on any city street or alley for more than 30 minutes or for longer than
is reasonably necessary to load or unload.
Clearly marked commercial vehicles may, between 8 : 00 AM and 11: 00 AM,
for purposes of loading or unloading only, park in metered spaces with-
out payment or in truck loading zones. After 11 :00 AM, commercial
vehicles may, for purposes of loading and unloading only, park in
truck loading zones to a maximum of 30 minutes.

streets by constructing concrete curb and gutter, a
