WHEREAS, Local Government Aid is an essential source of propoerty tax relief
for the City of Saint Paul , and
WHEREAS, the State allocati,on formula for local government aid distributes aid
on the basis of fiscal need and fiscal capacity, and
WHEREAS , the City of Saint Paul receives approximately 30% of its general fund
revenues from local government aid, now therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the City of Saint Paul urges the 1986 Minnesota Legislature
to continue the existing local government aid formula and increase the
1986 appropriation level by 6%.
