WHEREAS , the Council is presently considering an ordinance
identified as Council File No. 85-1150 dealing with reimbursement
to new employees for costs incurred in relocating to this area
when they accept employment with the City; and
WHEREAS , the provisions of said Ordinance normally would
not be effective until 30 days af�er the passage , approval
and publication of said Ordinance ; and
WHEREAS , the Council intends the provisions to apply to
the City' s appointment process as soon as possible; now, there-
for��, be it
RESOLVED, that it is the intent of this Council that the
provisions of Council File No. 85-1150 relating to reimbursement
of relocation expenses shall be retroactive to the date that
this resolution is approved by this Council .
