Ramsey County Depury Auditor, Christopher A. Samuel. The petition for a baseball stadium in the
City of Saint Paul has a sufFicient number of si�natures and requires your attention for disposition.
Section 8.03 states; "Upon receiving the report, the council shall deterniine by resolution the
sufficiency of the petition."

day of July, 1999, the Ramsey County Election Bureau did
receive 1,237 pages containing signatures for a baseball
stadium petition. I also certify that by the 13 day of
July, 1999, staff in the Ramsey County Election Bureau,
performing petition checking functions under a contract far
services with the City of St. Paul, did confirm that the
baseball stadium petition pages contained at least 4,869
signatures of registered voters of the City of St. Paul and
that this number of signatures satisfies the requirements
for initiating a petition contained in the St. Paul City
Charter, section 8.02.
