V —/v C unci.l Resolution Presente By �C�" Referred To � ����_ Committee: Date f�����s Out of Committee By Date RESOLVED, by the Council oF the City of Saint Paul pursuant to Section 3$.07 of the Administrative Code and pursuant to the provisions of Laws of Minnesota Por 1975, Chapter 261 , and pursuant to the provisions of applieable City Labor oontraets that in respeot to eaeh item of severanee pay provided to be paid by said provisions on aacount of separation from employment With the City which oeeurred in the years 1981 , 1982, 1983, 198�! and 1985 save any sueh separation whieh may have oecurred in any cf the said years by reason of death of any el igibl e empl oyee, the same may be paid either in Pull or paid upon a deferred annual installment payment plan, and that the determination of the manner of payment of such severanQe pay shall be at the eleQtion of the separated emploqee; and, be it FURTHER RESOLVED, that should the separated employee eleet " to reoeive the severanee pay by deferred payment, sueh deferred payments shall be made annually in the amount oP one-fifth of the total amount of severanQe pay granted under the provisions oP Seetion 38. 07 of the Administrative Code ; and, FINALLY RESOLVED, that sueh payments be made on or after Februarq 20, 1986, or as soon thereafter as it may be convenient for the proper City offieials to make sueh payments thereon, and in the case of the deferred payment method the sueQessive annual installments not in excess oF one-fifth of the total amount of severance pay granted shall beeome due and payable on or after the 20th day of February in eaeh sueoeeding year to the extent, and only to the extent, that it shall be neeessary to effeet the payment of the total severanae pay amounts in each partieular aase without int�rest.
