to the City, in a form to be approved by the City Attorney; the
proper City officers are hereby authorized and directed to pay
out of the Tort Liability Fund 09070-511-000, to :
l . Gregory Tauer the sum of $19 .89 in full settlement of his
claim of damages sustained on or about June 10-11 , 1984 , as
more particularly set out in the Notice of Claim filed in
the City Clerk ' s office on January 4 , 1985 .
2 . Don R. Butler the sum of $33 .00 in full settlement of his
claim of damages sustained on or about October 5 , 1984 , as
more particularly set out in the Notice of Claim filed in
the City Clerk ' s office on October 11 , 1984 .
3 . Bruce L. Warzala the sum of $1 , 051 .19 in full settlement of
his claim of damages sustained on or about January 16 , 1985 ,
as more particularly set out in the tVotice of Claim filed in
the City Clerk' s office on January 22 , 1985 .

M E M O R A N D U M
CLAIMS AGAINST CITY OF SAINT PAUL
BY GREGORY TAUER, DON R. BUTLER,
AND BRUCE L. WARZALA
On June 10-11 , 1984 , the City of Saint Paul , Department of
Public Works , tarred city streets on the east side of Saint
Paul . It was rainy and the streets were not adequately sanded.
The rain caused the tar to pool and splash onto cars traveling
on the street . Claimant , Gregory Tauer, requests reimbursement
for expenses incurred in cleaning the tar from his automobile.
This office approves the settlem�nt of Mr . Tauer ' s claim in the
amount of $19 , 89 .
Claimant , Don R. Butler, requests reimbursement for towing and
storage fees he incurred when his vehicle was towed because it
was in violation of the 24 hour parking ordinance. Mr. Butler
had extenuating circumstances which resulted in the car not
being moved. Mr. Butler paid $65 .90 to reclaim his vehicle .
This office reached a compromise settlement with Mr . Butler in
the amount of $33 . 00. This office approves the settlement of
Mr. Butler ' s claim in the amount of $33 . 00 .
Claimant , Bruce L. Warzala, was involved in an automobile accident
with a City of Saint Paul , Department of Public Works , vehicle
on January 16 , 1985 near Upper Afton and Ruth. The driver of
the City vehicle was Charles Harris . Expenses are for the
repair of the damaged vehicle . This office approves the settle-
ment of Mr . Warzala' s claim in the amount of $1 , 051 .19 .
