RESOLVED, That upon execution and delivery of a release in full
to the City, in a form to be approved by the City Attorney, the
proper City officers are hereby authorized and directed to pay
out of the Tort Liability Fund 09070-511-000, to:
l . Ken Wood the sum of $188 .62 in full settlement of his claim
of damages sustained on or about November 16, 1984 , as more
particularly set out in the Notice of Claim filed in the
City Clerk ' s office on January 11 , 1985 .
2 . James A. Schmitt the sum of $53 . 90 in full settlement of his
claim of damages sustained on or about January l6 , 1985 , as
more particularly set out in the Notice of Claim filed in the
City Clerk ' s office on January 22 , 1985 .
3 . Holiday Stationstores, Inc . the sum of $550 .50 in full settle-
ment of its claim of damages sustained on or about October 5 ,
1984 , as more particularly set out in the Notice of Claim filed
in the City Clerk ' s office on January 14 , 1985 .
4 . Holiday Stationstores , Inc , the sum of $389 .96 in full settle-
ment of its claim of damages sustained on or about December 9 ,
1984 , as more particularly set out in the Notice of Claim filed
in the City Clerk ' s office on January 14 , 1985 .

M E M O R A N D U M
CLAIMS AGAINST CITY OF SAINT PAUL BY
KEN WOOD, JAMES A. SCHMITT, AND TWO
CLAIMS BY HOLIDAY STATIONSTORES, INC.
On [Vovember 16 , 1984 , a City of Saint Paul , Department of Public
Works , dump truck driven by Donald McNaughton crossed over into
another lane of traffic and struck a vehicle owned and driven by
claimant , Ken Wood. Mr . Wood' s vehicle was damaged as a result
of the impact in the amount of $188 . 62 . This office approves
the settlement of Mr . Wood ' s claim in the amount of $188 . 62 .
On January 16 , 1985 , a vehicle driven by claimant , James Schmitt,
was stopped for a traffic violation by City of Saint Paul police.
Mr . Schmitt ' s vehicle was subsequently towed to the impound lot
for no insurance . However, Mr. 5chmitt did in fact have insuranc
and his vehicle should not have been towed. Mr. Schmitt paid
the impound lot $53 . 90 to release his vehicle. This office
approves the settlement of Mr. Schmitt ' s claim in the amount of
$53 . 90 .
On October 5 , 1984, a City of 5aint Paul police squad being
driven by Officer Lyttle drove away from the Rice 5treet Holiday
Station before removing the gas nozzle from the squad. As a
result , the gas hose and pump were damaged in the amount of
$550 .50 . This office approves the settlement of the Holiday
Stationstores , Inc. ' s claim in the amount of $550.50 .
On December 8 , 1984 , a City of Saint Paul police squad being
driven by Officer Wolhaupter drove away from the Arcade Holiday
Station before removing the gas nozzle from the squad. As a
result, the gas hose and nozzle were damaged in the amount of
$389 .96 . This office approves the settlement of the Holiday
Stationstores , Inc . ' s claim in the amount of $3$9 . 96 .
