RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Saint Paul does
hereby support and adopt as part of the 1985 Legislative Program
the following:
The City of Saint Paul supports the dedication of motor vehicle
excise tax revenues to the highway user fun�. and transit assistance
fund. The City supports the existing allocation of motor vehicle
excise tax revenues to the transit assistance fund for use in
the metropolitan area and encourages the Minnesoi:a Legislature
to transfer the authority to distribute the metropolitan share
of the transit assistance fund from the Commissioner of
Transportation to the Executive Director of the Regional Transit
Board.
