RESOLVED, That upon execution and delivery of a release in full
to the City, in a form to be approved by the City Attorney, the
proper City officers are hereby authorized and directed to pay
out of the Tort Liability Fund 09070-511-000 , to :
1 . Vance Milbrath the sum of $49.44 in full settlement of his
claim of damages sustained on or about August 7, 1984 , as
more particularly set out in the Notice of Claim filed in
the City Clerk ' s office on September 6 , 1984 .
2 . Johnny Howard the sum of $42 .00 in full settlement of his
claim of damages sustained on or about November 24, 1984 ,
as more particularly set out in the Notice of Claim filed
in the City Clerk ' s office on January 8 , 1985 .

M E M O R A N D U M
CLAIMS AGAINST CITY OF SAINT PAUL
BY VANCE MILBRATH AND JOHNNY HOWARD
On August 7, 1984 , a vehicle owned and driven by claimant, Vance
Milbrath, hit a deep depression on the Highway 94 entrance at
Concordia. The depression was left unfilled by the City' s
Department of Public Works ' maintenance crew subsequent to some
street construction work. When Mr . Milbrath hit the depression
it caused damage to his car in the amount of $49 . 44 . This
office approves the settlement of Mr. Milbrath ' s claim in the
amount of $49 . 44 .
On November 24 , 1984 , a vehicle owned by claimant , Johnny Howard,
was parked in the street as directed by a Saint Paul police
officer . Later int he day, another officer had the vehicle
tagged and towed because it was in a no parking zone. As a
result , Mr. Howard' s car was taken to the Saint Paul Impount Lot
where he paid $42 . 00 to get his vehicle releas�ed. This office
approves the settlement of Mr . Howard ' s claim in the amount of
$42 . 00 .
