WHEREAS, the Board of Independent School Disuict No. 625, has by virtue of Boazd Fi1e No. _ approved ,
authorized an ag:eement with the City of Saint Paul Police Department for the purpose of providing services
relafing to school police patrol; now therefore,
IT IS FIEREBY AGREED by and between the parties as follows:

District will pay City for services listed on B�ibit A attached hereto, which are rates, periods of time and duties.

Persons connected with theprogram wiil remain empioyees ofthe City and, therefore, be covered by the City's workers'
compensation program; will be paid by ihe City and entitled to Ciry fringe benefits.

The contract between the St Paul Police Department and the St Paul Public Schools for the Police Department to provide
services for the elementazy school patrol program shall include:
1. A 37-week contract - up to 15 hours per week, not to exceed a total of 555 hours for 1998-99. Znclusive dates
would be September 8, 1998, to June 11, 1999, excluding winter break and spring break.
2. Provide seivices to the schools in the azeas of:
a. Swearing in of school patrol officers.
b. Training of school patrol officers.
c. Assistance to and for teachers of schooi patrol supervisors.
d. Periodic supen+ision of school patrol corner crossings.
e. Assist in deternrining safe routes to school(s).
3. Salazy:
Salarywillbehouilyrateofpayplusfringebenefits. OfficerFredSlemmonsiscurrenflyassigned. His1998
hourly wage is $23.86/hour, plus $6.71/hourfringebenefits =$30.5�/hour;1999 hourly wage is $24.50/hour,
plus $6.90/hour ftinge benefits = $31.40/hour.
Esflmated salary for 1998-99 school year is as foilows:
September 8, 1998, - December 21, 1998:
16 weeks @ 15 hours/week = 240
240 hours at $30.57/haur = $ 7,336.80
January 4, 1999, - 7une 11, 1999:
21 weeks at 15 hours/week = 315
315 hours at $31.40/hour = $ 9,891.00
Estimated 1998-99 salazy = $ 17,227.80
4. Mileage:
Up to 400 miles/month for 10 months not to exceed 4,000 miles at .28 per mile or revised figure if rate of
