An ordinance amending Cha r 376 of the Saint
Paul Legislative Code per ining to taxicabs.
THE C70UNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAINT PA DOES ORLaAIN:
Sectio 1.
�at Section 376.09 of the Legi lative Code be amended to read as
follaws:
376.09. Vehicles-requisements No public vehicle shall be
licensed until it has been tho oughly and carefully examined
�
and found to canply with the f llawing:
(1) Ebery vehicle licensed ' tially as a taxicab shall be a
� new vehicle or a used v cle not more than three model

i e�-�ess as of January 1 o the license year which has
been certified by an auth rized dealer, in accordance
with standards adopted by the license inspector, to be
in a safe operating condi ion. All taxicab vehicle
licenses shall expire fiv years frcm January 1 of the
model year. A "new vehic e" for the puY-pose of this
paragraph is defi.ned as a vehicle in a new and unused
condition.
