The right to use Parcel 3 for highway purposes, shall
cease on December 1 , 1992, or on such earlier date
upon which the Com issioner of Transporation
determines by formal or er that it is no longer needed
for highway purposes.
WHEREAS, the construction of I-35E will result in the State
of Minnesota Department of Transpo tation declaring the following
described parcels surplus to its needs and whereas the parcels
are adjacent to City-owned land and acquisition of the said
parcels by the City from the Sta e of Minnesota Department of
Transportation would result in orderly land development around
the new I-35E construction:

WHEREAS, the City of Saint aul will receive compensation
from the State of Minnesota Depa tment of Transporation for the
fee acquisition of Parcels 1 and herein described; and
WHEREAS, the State of Minnes ta Department of Transportation
has agreed to sell Parcels 4 , 5 nd 6 to the City of Saint Paul
for an amount equal to the compen ation paid for Parcels 1 and 2;
and
WHEREAS, the State of Minnes ta Department of Transportation
in lieu of cash payment for the t mporary construction easements
on, over and across Parcels 3 a d 7 will restore said parcels
(currently used for parking pu poses under lease agreement
between the City of Saint Paul, Lessor and American Linen,
Lessee) , with an estimated $116,00 of improvements which include
surfacing and all necessary p eparatory grading and site
improvement.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that based on the conditions
described above the proper City O ficials are hereby authorized
to enter into any agreements an issue any deeds necessary to
facilitate the conveyance of title by Quit Claim Deed for Parcels
1 and 2 and the temporary constr ction easements by a right-of-
entry permit for Parcels 3 and 7 nd shall accept title from the
State of Minnesota Department of ransportation for Parcels 4, 5
and 6.
