WHEREAS, the Council of Saint Paul could not be prouder to
wa tch the Minnesota Twins win the 1987 World Series; and
WHEREAS, the Council of Saint Paul knows the Minnesota T�ains are
the be s t baseball team to wa tch; and
WHEREAS, the Sain t Paul citizens know tha t the Minnesota Twins are
truly champions.
WHEREAS, the Council of Saint Paul recognizes tha t the cheers heard
during every game in the Me trodome were louder than a DC-10 airplane; and
WHEREAS, every Saint Paul reaident who is able to attend will
be wa tching the parade today honoring the Minnesota Twins, now therefore, be
it
RESOLVED, tha t the Council of Saint Paul proudlq congra tulates the
Minnesota Twins Baseball Team in their winning of the World Series;
FURTHER, be it resolved tha t the Council of Saint Paul recognizes
that the Minnesota Twins had an exceptional season, because the Minnesota
Twins is an exceptional baseball club;
FINALLY, be it resolved tha t the Council of Sain t Paul proudly
acknowledges the MINNESOTA TWINS BASEBALL TEAM as the WINNERS of the
1987 World Series and the Council of Saint Paul establishes October 2'�, 1987
as MINNESOTA TWINS RECOGNITION DAY.
