RESOLVED, That upon execution and delivery of a release in full
to the City, in a form to be approved by the City Attorney, the
proper City officers are hereby authorized and directed to pay
out of the Tort Liability Fund 09070-511-000 , to:
1 . Samuel Stelzig, Joyce E . Stelzig, and American Family
Insurance Group the sum of $1 , 482 . 40 in full settlement
of their claim of damages sustained on or about June 3 ,
1987, as more particularly set out in the Notice of
Claim filed in the City Clerk ' s office on September 4 ,
1987.

M E M O R A N D U M
CLAIM AGAINST CITY OF SAINT PAUL BY
SAMUEL STELZIG, JOYCE E . STELZIG, AND
AMERICAN FAMILY INSURANCE GROUP
Claimant , Joyce E. Stelzig, was involved in an automobile accident
with a City of Saint Paul , Department of Community Services
vehicle driven by our employee , Richard J. Wiener , on June 3 ,
1987 at the intersection of Chatsworth and Orchard. Mr. Wiener
pulled out from a stop sign and struck the Stelzig vehicle which
was driving on a through street . The vehicle is registered to
Samuel Stelzig. Mr , and Mrs . Stelzig filed a claim with their
insurance carrier , Ameican Family Insurance Group, which paid
them $1 , 853 . 00 for the damages to their vehicle . This office has
reached a compromise settlement of 80/, or $1 , 482 . 40 , with the
claimants .
