WHEREAS, in support of West Side Community Health Center's application for
a grant aimed at helping improve health care to the homeless.
WHEREAS, the city of Saint Paul is aware of the growing number of homeless
people in our city and the special health problems which confront them; and
WHEREAS, this homeless population would benefit from improved health services
in Saint Paul and Ramsey County; and
WHEREAS, the West Side Community Health Center has been an active and com-
passfonate provider of quality health care in the city of Saint Paul; and
WHEREAS, the West Side Community Health Center has filed an application to
improve health services for the homeless under the Stewart B. McKinney Homeless
Assistance Act; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council supports the West Side Community
Health Center's grant application under Public Law 100-77, the Stewart B. McKinney
Homeless Assistance Act, for "Provision of Health Services for the Homeless."
