You're invited to an information meeting to 'scuss project details, financing, and the construction schedule. Time and p! e for the meeting: Wednesday, October 7 - 7:00 p.m. District 2 Office, 2169 Stillwater Ave. (old St. Thomas the Apostle School) Th total cost of the project is es#imated at 5.3 miilion. Two-thirds of this will co e from state and federal funds. A portion wiii come from a redirection of tax s Saint Paulites are already paying, and a sewer service surcharge to all ci property owners. The rest wouid come from assessments to properties dir ctly affected by construction. Since your neighborhood has already paid a sto m sewer assessment, no further assessment will be levied for storm sewer co struction. There will be assessments levied for new streets and lighting. As essments for a typical 50' x 150' lot for a new street and lighting would be $1 50. This amount can be paid off over 20 years, with interest, at an average co of$120 per year.
