D r Saint Paulite:
Pu lic Works has preliminary plans for a large project in your neighborhood for
ne sewers, paving, and street lighting. it's part of the City's ten-year
Co bined Street and Sewer Program. You're invited to an information meeting
to 'scuss project details, financing, and the construction schedule. Time and
p! e for the meeting:
Wednesday, October 7 - 7:00 p.m.
District 2 Office, 2169 Stillwater Ave.
(old St. Thomas the Apostle School)
Th total cost of the project is es#imated at 5.3 miilion. Two-thirds of this will
co e from state and federal funds. A portion wiii come from a redirection of
tax s Saint Paulites are already paying, and a sewer service surcharge to all
ci property owners. The rest wouid come from assessments to properties
dir ctly affected by construction. Since your neighborhood has already paid a
sto m sewer assessment, no further assessment will be levied for storm sewer
co struction. There will be assessments levied for new streets and lighting.
As essments for a typical 50' x 150' lot for a new street and lighting would be
$1 50. This amount can be paid off over 20 years, with interest, at an average
co of$120 per year. Please see the map on the reWerse side of this notice for
mo e detailed construction information.
Th meeting we're inviting you to is informationa! only. Final decisions on
wh ther to construct any or all of this project will be made at an official public
he ring of the Saint Paut City Council tentatively scheduled for October 20.
