WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul, Department ot Public Works are
proceedi ng wi th the i ni ti al steps i n pl anni ng the repl acement of the Wnbesha
Street Bridge No. 6524 over the Mississippi River, and
. WHEREAS, the Capital Improvement Budget Committee has
recommended f or the Mayor's and Ci ty Counci 1's approval of S 150,000.00 f or
a Bridge Type Study Report and a Case Study Report for the Wabasha StrEet
. Bri dge, and
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul requests Minnesota Department of
Trensportation to ossist in the preparation ot required FHA reports ond
securi ng f undi ng f or the ref erenced bri dge. Now then be i t
RESOLVED, thet the Saint Paul City Council approves the planning
process for the r�eplacement of Wabasha Str�eet Bridge, providing that said
continued support and assistance can be secured for the funding of the
pro j ect.
