99-553Council File # �l°l SS3 ORIGINAL Presented Refesed To Committee Date 2 0 � 7 L`� RESOLVTION CITY OF SAINT PAUL, MtNNESOTA Green Sheet # �oZ��S �� An Administrative Resolution to amend the Salary Plan and Rates of Compensarion WHEREAS, the portion of the Salary Plan and Rates of Compensarion, Section I, pazagraph J that deals with advancement for the rifles of Building Inspector, Building Inspector (Carpenter, Plasterer, Lather), and Masonry Inspector have been based on State requirements, and WHEREAS, the State requirements have changed, and WHEREAS the City desires to remain aligned with State standazds, now therefore, BE IT RESOLVED that Secrion I, paragraph J of the Salary Plan and Rates of Compensarion shall be changed to read: 10 J. BUILDING INSPECTOR SALARY RATES - The salary for the tifles of Building Inspector, 11 Building Inspector (Carpenter, Plasterer, Lather), and Masonry Inspecmr shall be in three steps. 12 The fust step shall be the entry level step. The second step shall be paid to those who successfully 13 perform for at least one year at the enhy level and successfully complete six (6) semester credits in 14 Building Inspection Technology as provided at an accredited community college or Technical 15 Coliege. The third step shall be paid to those who successfully perform for at least two years at 16 the second step and who successfully complete sixteen (16) semester credits in Building Inspection 17 Technology at an institution as described above and who attains Building Official Certification 18 by the State of Minnesota. All entrants, including those who are City employees working in their 19 respecrive trades, shall start at the entry rate unless he/she meets the cerdfication requirements for 20 the second step.
