RESOL�IED, That upon executioz� and delivery of a release in full
to the City, in a form to be approved by the City Attorney, the
proper City officers are hereby authorized and directed to pay
out of the Tort Liability Fund 09070-511-000 , to:
1 . Lou Pearson the sum o£ $1 ,020.00 in full settlement of his
claim of c�amages sustained on or about January 28 through
February 10 , 1987, as more particularly set out in the
Notice of Claim filed in the City Clerk ' s office on March 26 ,
1987.

M E M O R A N D U M
CLAIM AGAINST CITY OF SAINT PAUL
BY LOU PEARSON
In April of 1986 , claimant , Lou Pearson , purchased residential
property at 174 Lafond Avenue in Saint Paul . In late January,
1987 , Mr. Pearson experienced serious sewer problems . After
considerable effort was made to unplug his sewer line , it was
discovered that Mr. Pearson ' s private line had been disconnected
from the sewer main in 1985 when the City installed a new manhole
on Como Avenue. Mr. Pearson seeks damages for the costs he
incurred to correct the problem. Our office has agreed to settle
Mr. Pearson ' s claim for $1 , 020 .00 .
