WHEREAS , the Legislative Code contains provisions governing
and prescribing business license conditions and restrictions ;
and
WHEREAS , the City Council at various times will consider
amending or adding license conditions and restrictions , and
it is the desire that all persons who may be affected by any
such changes be afforded an opportunity -to present their views
and opinions at a council hearing; now, therefore , be it
RESOLVED, that the City Council shall conduct a public
hearing on all proposed license ordinance amendments , and the
City Clerk is hereby instructed to mail to all persons who
are licens�d under -�he proposed ordinance amendment a notice
setting forth the time , place and date of the public hearing
and a summary of the proposed ordinance amendment.

Dear Council Member Wilson:
Pursuant to your request of June 18 , 1987 , I have prepared
for your consideration a resolution directing the City Clerk
to send a written notice to all licensees who are licensed
under an ordinance which is proposed to be amended in some
manner. The cost of these notices would be included in the
City Clerk' s budget or the City Council budget. You should
discuss the question of whether the license fees should be
increased to reflect this additional cost with the Budget Director
and/or Finance Director.
