1 Whereas, the quality of life is supported and greatly enhanced by stability and constancy of its key institution, and
2 Whereas, no community institution is more fundamental than the family, and fanrily stability is increasingly
3 threatened by a wide variety of stresses and strains in today's society wtuch makes cohesive and enduring families
4 more valuable not only to family members but to the entire community, and
5 Whereas, one means by which families celebrate their success in remainnig a unit is through wedding anniversaries,
6 and a SOth or "golden" wedding anniversary is a particularly important landmazk, and
7 Whereas, it is fitting and appropriate for the community to celebrate a golden anniversary along with the family of
8 the long-married couple because of the many benefits to the community of the stable family unit, and
9 Whereas, each month several Saint Paul families celebrate golden anniversaries, and
10 Whereas, one of those families who is celebrating their goiden anniversary as Clement and Mary Kachelmyer who
11 were married on June 9, 1949 in the City of Duluth.
12 Now, Therefore, BeltResolved, that the City Council congratulates Clement and Mary Kachelmyer on the occasion
13 of their golden anniversary and thanks the Kachelmyers for their many contributions to Saant Paul.
