June 30, 1988 for City Council reviea and action. The recommendations of the Citizen Participation Task Force merit oonsideration. They have done a fine job. Their rec-ndation for an increase in funding for Citizen Participation Districts based on the Consumer Price Index does not represent a lot of dollars but in view of our financial constraints, I am not recormiending even that small increase for the next funding cycle. My reoonmndation for funding the Citizen Participation Districts is in agreemezt with the enclosed staff recndation which is to maintain the present level of funding. Enclosed with this letter is a list of goals and activities suYxnitted by each of the districts along with their budget requests. Please feel free to contact me, William Q. Patton and Jerry Jenkins of the Comrnanity Development Division and/or the Budget Section with any questions you may have. Very truly yours, . .. , - e La r - Ma r , , .
