to host the U.S. Olympic Festival in 1990 or 1991, an�d
Wf�AS, although,a previous bid for the festival in 1986 was unsuccessful it is �cpected
that the �ai.n Cities chances are very strang to make a successful bid for 1990
or 1991, ar�d
Wf�E'.AS, It is antici ted that the two Cities will together incur $45 000,in expenses�for bid
presentationss paymen�for a consultant, hosting a visit by the U.S. O�ym�ic Committee s
Athletes' Advisory Council, and
Wf�AS, The two Cities have agreed to share equally in costs in addition to securing
private funds and Minnesota Department of Tourism funds, Saint Paul's share of current
�cpenses is $15,000, and
Wf�REASt The Ma�yor, pursuant to Section 10.07.3 of the City Charter does certif�y that there
are available for appropriation revenue in �x cess of those estimated in the 198T bu�dget; ar�d
