99-44ORlG1NAL Presented By Referred To Council File # �� Y h� Green Sheet # 38469 RESOLUTION CITY OF SAINT PAUL, MINNESOTA �� Committee: Date WHEREAS, The Mayor recommended, and the Saint Paul City Council approved Council Resolution 97-216, which approved the Residential Street Paving projects to be constructed in 1998 and tentatively approved projects for the years 1999 through 2002; and WHEREAS, The Department of Public Works has been directed, on a yearly basis, to bring forward a revised list of Residential Street Paving projects, moving up another year of projects for final approval and adding another year o£ tentative projects; and WHEREAS, Council Resolution 98-657, as submitted by Public Works, proposed to delay some of the projects listed in Resolution 97-216. The City Council amended Resolution 98-657, requesting that the Mayor's administration develop a plan to restore the tentative schedule for the years 2000 through 2003 as listed in Resolution 97-216; and WHEREAS, the CIB funding in 1999 for Residential Street Vitality Program was increased from $7.0 million to $9.5 million, and the Mayor's administration has proposed that the Residential Street Vitality Program be funded at a level of $8.6 million of CIB funds starting in year 2000, and be increased for inflation every year thereafter until the end of the program; and WHEREAS, the list of Residential Street Vitality Program projects has been revised to reflect the additional 1999 funding and proposed fu�ure funding; now therefore be it RESOLVED, The City Council accepts the following list of projects, giving final approval for those listed for 1999 and tentative approval for the projects listed for years 20�0 through 20�3; YEAR PROJECT NO.
