An administrative Resolution establishing the
title and class specification for City Planning
Aide and City Planning Technician.
RESOLVED, that the title and class specification for Planning Aide I, Grade
22, Technical Group, shall be abolished and substituting, in lieu thereof, the
new title and class specification for City Planning Aide, Grade 22, Technical Group;
and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the title for Planning Aide II shall be starred (*)
abolished except as to present incumbents; and be it
FINALLY RESOLVED, that the titles and class specifications for Flanning Technician
I and Planning Technician II, Grade 30 and Grade 34, respectively, Technical Group,
shall be abolished and substituting, in lieu thereof, the new title and class
specification for the title of City Planning Technician, Grade 29, Technical Group.

At the reque,st of the Department of Planning & Economic Development, the Class Sgecifieations
of Planning Aide I� Planning Aide II, Planning Technician I & Planning Technician II, -were
updated to reflect positions as they currently exist in the department. It was found that
only two levels of subprofessional positions exist. This resolution combines the two titles '
of Planning Aide I and Planning Aide II into one Planning Aide title. It also combines the ?
two titles of Planning Technician I and Planning Technician II into one Planning Technician '
title. I

Planning Aide I is currently at Grade 22 and Planning Aide II is at Grade 26. The
proposed City Planning Aide will be at Grade 22.
Planning Technician I is currently at Grade 30 and Planning Technician II i.s currently
at Grade 34. The proposed City Planning Technician will be at Grade 29.
As of December 17, 1986 there were three incumbents in the Planning Aide I classification
and one incumbent in the Planning Aide II classification. The Planning Aide II incumbent
will retain his title and the associated pay grade. There will be no cost associated
with moving the Planning Aide I incumbents to the new City Planning Aide Class as it
is the same pay grade.
There are no incumbents in the Planning Technician I and Planning Technician II titles.
