WHEREAS, the City of St. Paul wishes to support, nurture and recognize
talent among its citizens and the contributions flowing from those talents,
and
WHEREAS, Paul Molitor grew up in St. Paul and graduated from Cretin High
School, and
WHEREAS, Paul Molitor displayed his athletic talent as a baseball player
for Cretin High School, Attucks Brooks American Legion, and the University of
Minnesota, and has continued displaying his talent as a Ma.jor League All-Star
with the Milwaukee Brewers, and
WHEREAS, in reaching these achievements he has demonstrated the qualities
of determination, perseverance, and the belief in himself and has been a role
model for youngsters in St. Paul and throughout the nation;
NOW, THEREFORE, be it
RESOLVED, the Saint Paul City Council does saZute Paul Molitor's
achievements and contributions to the community and does join in this occasion
of recognition and celebration.
