, T e City Attorney's Office has reviewed its Tort Liability and Outside Counsel
payment obligations through the end of December 1988, and
WIiEREAS, the Citp Council approved two tort liability settlements on November 29, 1988
totalling $30,750 over and above existing 1988 spending authority of $175,000, and
WHEREAS, Continuing outside council work for the Carchedi, Huyen PHA and Citp vs. FAA cases
will incur 1988 payment obligations totalling $56,000 over and a�iove revised 1988
spending authority of $85,000, and
WHEREAS, The Mayor� pursuant to Section 10.07.1 of the City Charter, does certify
that there are available for appropriation revenues in excess of those estimated
in the 1988 budget; and
WHEREAS, The Mayor recommends the following changes to the 1988 budget:
