1 WHEREAS, residential permit parking was previously instituted on behalf of the residents
2 residing in the St. Thomas permit parking area in accordance with Chapter 168 of the Saint Paul
3 Legislative Code; and

WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Saint Paul previousfy found that the aforementioned
residential area did not have sufficient off-street parking to accommodate the residential parking
needs of the residents as well as the parking needs of non-residents who use non-residential
facilities in the area which lack sufficient off-street parking; and
10 WHEREAS, zones are frequently removed or modified to stay current with the dynamics of
11 the students who continue to park in and around the Permit Parking area;

13 WHEREAS, property owners have submitted petitions which have been validated to remove
14 permit parking restrictions;
15
16 THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Saint Paul resolves that the new parking regulations
17 shall be imposed in the residential area near the College of Saint Thomas:

�8 1. Remove the parking regulation signs reading "except by permit or unless otherwise posted" No
20 Parking 8:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. Monday-Friday, Area 21, on the following street:

22 West side of Exeter Place between Mississippi River Blvd. and Otis Ave.
23 West side of Exeter Place from Riverwood PI. to 140 feet south.
