WHEREAS, the Division of Parks and Recreation administers the applicants and grants
program established by Ordinance 409.235; and
WHERAS, the Youth Programs Fund Advisory Board was formed to implement the
administration of the ordinance for the Division; and
WHEREAS, the Youth Programs Fund Advisory Board met on December 17, 1998 to
add organizauons to the eligible list for the 10% Club far 1999; and

organizations will be added to the list for 1999 and may then be eligible to receive direct donations from charitable
gam6ling organizations.
ADVANTAGES IF APPROVED:
Organization may receive direct charitable gambling donations which will be used to off-set the costof providing quality
pograms for Saint Paul youth.
DISADVANTAGES IF APPROVED:
None.
DISADVANTAGES IF NOT APPROVED:
Organizations would not be eligible to receive direct charitable gambling donations, which would result in poor quality
youth programs.
