WHEREAS, the Na ional League of Cities is now con�idering sites for its
1991 and 1992 annual conventions; and
WHEREAS, the Li able Winter Cities of Minneapolis and Saint Paul will
provide an excellent setting for the business, social and residential needs of
NLC convention goer , making use of the new Minneapolis Convention Center
sci�eduled to open b Fall 1991, and of hotels and meeting rooms in both cities;
and
WHEREAS, the T in Cities are known for successful partnerships which will
guarantee unique ho pitality for the NLC Convention;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that upon the recommendation of the
Mayor, the City Co cil of the City of Saint Paul doe's join with the Mayor and
City Council of th City of Minneapolis to invite the National League of Cities
to select the Twin Cities for their 1991 or 1992 con�Yention; and
BF IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Twin Cities have tentatively reserved
the new Minneapoli Convention Center for the dates of December 4-7, 1991 and
December 2-5, 1992 and
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED, that the Twin Cities recognize and accept the
host city require ents, including the financial investments set by the
National League o Cities.
