2 valued at $605.00 per unit, from the Minnesota Department of Public Safety in consideration for
3 participation in the 1998 Safe and Sober Grant, and
Whereas, the St. Paul Police Department wishes to accept this generous contribution, and
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of St. Paul accepts these gifts and extends its
sincere thanks to the Minnesota Department of Public Safety for its contribution.

The State ofMinnesota Department ofPublic Safety Department of Public Safety's
representative, Nancy Francke admivisters the Safe and Sober Project, in wluch the St. Paul
Police Department participated during 1998. The six P.B.T.'s are presented to us in
considerauon far our efforts.
ADVANTAGESIFAPPROYED
The Police Department receives, at no cost, these needed tools for effective enforcement of
alcohol related offenses. These units will greatly aid with enforcement and screening to anest
and reduce Illegal alcohol related driving. Units will be utilized in the Districts, inventoried at
T&A.
