WHEREAS, Chapter 462 C.05, Subdivision 2 defines the criteria used by the state
to award funding for housing projects, and,
WHEREAS, the criteria as stated in current statute is unclear, and is being inter-
preted differently by municipalities, and,
WHEREAS, this housing criteria should be clarified so that a uniform standard
is applied statewide,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Saint Paul supports an amendment to
be introduced which will state that "at least 75� of the dwelling units in a multi-
family housing development shall be occupied by, or held for occupancy by, families
or individuals with adjusted gross incomes not in excess of 110� of the median
gross income for the area in which the development is located." This language
will amend Minnesota Statutes 1984, Section 462C.05, Subdivision 2.
