WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul, acting through its
Valuation Engineer, has secured an agreement for the purchase of
that certain property described as follows:
Except the South 80 feet the West 2 feet of Lot 17
and except the South 80 feet, Lot 16 , Block 1,
Subdivision of Block 13, Stinson' s Division.
WHEREAS, the property herein described is necessary for
the widening of Dale Street between Sherburne and Van Buren
Avenues .
WHEREAS, compensation to the property owner is in the amount
of $23,000, it being a fair and reasonable price for the subject
prope�ty according to the appraisal obtained by the Valuation
Engineer; and
WHEREAS, the Valuation Engineer has recommended the purchase
of said property at the price stated above;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the proper City officials
are hereby authorized and directed to pay Ed and Barbara Orndorf,
owners of record, the sum of $23 ,000. The conditions of said
sale are contained in the Memorandum for Sale of Real Estate;
said memorandum is attached hereto and incorporated herein by
reference. Said sum to be charged to Funding Source (88-2G003-
0788-25019) .
