WHEREAS, the Ford Motor Company applied for a modification of the
provisions of Section 65.233 and Section 65.650 of the River Corridor
Provisions contained in the Saint Paul Legislative Code for the purpose of
constructing a warehouse addition on their property located at 966 South
Mississippi River Boulevard in April , 1987; and
WHEREAS, on June 16, 1987, the City Council modified the decision of the
Planning Commission and granted the modification of the height limitations
contained in the River Corridor provisions applicable to the Ford Motor
Company property, and authorized the construction of the proposed
warehouse with a maximum height not to exceed 47 feet, as measured from
the Mississippi River Boulevard curb height; and
WHEREAS, the Ford Motor Company has not begun construction of the addition
within one year as required in Section 64.209 of the Saint Paul
Legislative Code; and
WHEREAS, Section 64.209 of the Saint Paul Legislative Code, authorizes the
City Council to grant one year extensions of City Council orders; and
WHEREAS, the Ford Motor Company has requested a one year extension of the
River Corridor Modification it received from the City Council ; and, be it
RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Saint Paul does hereby grant a
one year extension of the River Corridor Modification to the Ford Motor
Company; and, be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Clerk shall mail a copy of this resolution
to the Ford Motor Company, the Zoning Administrator and the Planning
Administrator.

Subject: Rivet` Corridor Modification Special Use Permit
City Council File #87854
In June 1987, Ford Motor Company requested and received a special use
permit for a river corridor modification. This permit was issued for
an increase of 7 feet over the 40 foot restriction in building height
allowed for this zone for construction of a parts warehouse. Construction
was not begun on the warehouse within the one year period allowed for the
permit and the permit expired.
Please accept this letter as a request for an extension of that permit as
we would like to begin the construction of this project as soon as it is
possible.
