WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul, acting through its
Valuation Engineer, has secured an agreement for the purchase of
that certain property described as follows:
The West 1/2 of Block 13, Stinson' s Frances Street
Addition to St. Paul, reserving to itself permanent
easements for public utility and drainage purposes
which easements are described on exhibit A attached
hereto and made a part hereof.
WHEREAS, the property herein described is necessary for
public purposes in the ETNA/Third Street area in connection with
the BELT LINE SEWER SYSTEM POND ACQUISITION PROJECT; and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Saint Paul does hereby
accept the Quit Claim Deed from the Metropolitan Waste Control
Commission and that the proper City officials are hereby directed
to file said Quit Claim Deed in the office of the County
Recorder, a copy of the Quit Claim Deed is attached hereto and
incorporated herein by reference; and
WHEREAS, this property was approved for acquisition on
February 26 , 1987 , by Council Resolution, Council File No. 87-
243; and
WHEREAS, the price at which the property may be purchased is
in the amount of $22,727.84, it being a fair and reasonable price
for the subject property; and
WHEREAS, the Valuation Engineer has recommended the purchase
of said property at the price stated above:
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the proper City officials
are hereby authorized and directed to pay the Metropolitan Waste
Control Commission, record owner, the sum of $22 ,727 .84 . Said
