WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul, acting through its
Valuation Engineer, has secured an agreement for the purchase of
that certain property described as follows :
North 1/2 of Lot 15, Block 1, Subdivision of Block 13,
Stinson' s Division of the City of Saint Paul
WHEREAS, the purchase of the property herein described is
necessary for the widening of Dale Street between Sherburne and
Van Buren Avenues.
WHEREAS, compensation to the property owner is in the amount
of $34,000, it being a fair and reasonable price for the subject
property according to the appraisal obtained by the Valuation
Engineer; and
WHEREAS, the Valuation Engineer has recommended the purchase
of said property at the price stated above;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the proper City officials
are hereby authorized and directed to pay Mary Garvey, owner of
record, the sum of $34 ,000 . The conditions of said sale are
contained in the Memorandum for Sale of Real Estate; said
memorandum is attached hereto and incorporated herein by
reference. Said sum to be charged to Funding Source (88-2G003-
0788-25019) .
