Policy - Requests for Reclassification of Data. WHEREAS , Minnesota Statutes Section 13.06 permits the responsible authority of a political subdivision to apply to the Commissioner of Administration for permission to classify data or types of data on individuals as private or confidential or data not on individuals as non-public or protected non-public; and WHEREAS , The Council of the City of Saint Paul believes that the public interest in openness in government is best served by public notification of such requests for reclassification of data; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, that the Council hereby adopts the following policy for all City requests for reclassification of data: 1 . As the responsible authority designated by the Council of the City of Saint Paul pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Section 13. 02, subd. 2 and as required bxo,the State of Minnesota Department of Administration, �City Clerk -�1-�__ _ ______ shall sign, as the City' s responsible authority, any request to the Department of Rdministra- tion by a City department or office to reclassify govern- ment data.
