An ordinance amending Chapter 163 of the
Saint Paul Legislative Code entitled
"Abandoned Vehicles" by adding a new
section thereto which will provide for
the collection of the costs of towing
and storage and notice and publication
costs not fully reimbursable from the
sale of an abandoned vehicle by a special
assessment against the proper�i.,� .�ai�ere ii
was discovered and in th� ri�ar�n�.r provided
in Chap�ter 45 of the above-re��=erenced code
and Chapter 14 of the City Charter.
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAIIVT PAUL DOES ORDAIN:
S�c�cion l .
That Chapter 163 of the Saint Paul Legislative Code is
hereby amended by adding a new section thereto to read as follows :
"163.10. Cost reimbursement. Any of the costs
incurred �u-rsuant to tize enforcer�ent of this chapter
not recovered and reimaursed to the City of Saint
Paul frorn the sale of a motor vehicle under section
163.08 may be charged against the property where
the motor vehicle was removed from and treated as
a special assessment to be collected in the manner
provided by Chapter 14 of the City Charter and Chapter
45 of the Legislative Code . "
Section 2.
That this ordinance shall be in force and effect thirty
( 30) days after its passage , approval and publication.
