Dear Sir or Madam:
The Division of Public Health has determined that the above noted building is an
abandoned building, which Chapter 45 of the Saint Paul Legislative Code defines as:
"any building or portion of a building which has stood with an incorcg�lete
exterior shell for longer than three (3) years or any building or portion
thereof which has stood unoccupied for longer than one (1) year and which meets
one or rmre of the following criteria;
(a) unsecured, or (b) boarded, or (c) having �ltiple exterior Housing Code or
Building Code violations, or (d) placarded as "Unfit for H�m�an Habitation"
pursuant to Chapter 34 of the Saint Paul Legislative Code."
The ordinance further states that an abandoned building is a nuisance and it may be
ordered torn dawn by the City.
NO►1'E: If yau do not want to have the City begin action to have thia building torn
dawn, then the attached list of deficiencies must be repaired or you must tear the
buildi.ng dawn on or before: Julv 27, 1988.
Any repair or d�nolition must be conpleted in accordance with all applicable laws.
If the repair work is not ca�leted or if you have not torn the building dawn by the
above date, the Division of Public Health will refer this matter to the City Council
to receive authority to raze the building and charge all costs incurred in wrecking
the building against the real estate as a speci.al assessment to be collected in the
same manner as taxes. The City Council will schedule a public hearing to consider if
the building should be torn dawn. If a public hearing becomes necessary, you will be
notified of the time and date of the hearing and will be allawed to present evidence
to the City Council. A copy of this order will be kept on file in the City Clerk's
office and a resolution declaring this property to be a nuisance shall be on file in
the Ramsey County Recorder's Office. Canpliance with the attached list of
deficiencies will remove your building fran the list of abandoned buildings but it
does not mean that the building complies with all applicable housing and building
codes.

The Division of Public Health has determined that the above-noted building
is an ak�andoned building,. which Chapter 45 of the Saint Paul Legislative
Code defines as:
" any building or portion of a building which has stood with an
incomplete exterior shell for longer than three (3) years or any
building or portion thereof which has stood unoccupied for longer than
one (1) year and which meets one or more of the following criteria;
(a) unsecured, or (b) boarded, or (c) having multiple exterior
Housing Code violations, or (d) placarded as "Unfit for HLUr�an
Habitation" pursuant to Chapter 34 of the Saint Paul Legislative
Code.,�
The ordinance further states that an abandoned building is a nuisance and
it may be ordered torn down by the City.
NOTE: If you do not want to have the City begin action to have the
b�ilding torn dawn, then the attached list of deficiencies must be
repaired or you must tear the building dawn on or b�fore August 25, 1988.
Any repair or demolition �st be completed in accordance with all
applicable laws.
If the work is not com�leted or if you have not torn the building do�.�n by
the above date, the Division of Public Health will refer this matter to
the City Council to receive authority to raze the building and charge all
costs incurred in wrecking the building against the real estate as a
special assessment to be collected in the same manner as taxes. The City
Council will schedule a public hearing to consider if the building should
be torn down. If a public hearing becomes necessary, you will be notified

The Division of Public Health has determined that the above-noted building
is an abandoned building, which Chapter 45 of the Saint Paul Legislative
Code defines as:
" any ba�.ilding or portion of a building which has stood with an
inco�nplete exterior shell for longer than three (3) years or any
building or portion thereof which has st.00d iuioccupied for longer than �
one (1> year and which meets one or more of the follawing criteria;
(a) unsecured, or tb) boarded, or (c) having multiple exterior
Housing Cod�e violations, or td) placarded as "Unfit for H�anan
Habitation" pursuant to Chapter 34 of the Saint Paul Legislative

The ordinance fui-ther states that an abandoned b�iilding is a nuisance ancl
it may be ordered torn dawn by the City.
NO►PE: If y�au do not want tfl have tr�e City begin action to have the
buil� torn dawn, then the attached list of deficiencies must be
repair or you must tear the building dawn on or before September 1,
1988.
Any repair or demolition must be canpleted in accordance with all
applicable laws.
If the w�ork is not �leted or if you have r�t torn the building dawn by
the abave date, the Division of Public Health will refer this matter to
the City Council to receive authority to raze the building and charge all
costs incurred in wrecking the building against the real estate as a
special assessment to be collected in the same manner as taxes. The City
Council will schedule a public hearing to consider if the building should
be torn dawn. If a public hearing becomes necessary, yau will be notified
of the time and date of the hearirig and yc�z will be allawed to present
evidence to the City Qauicil. A copy of this order will be kept on file in
the City Clerk's Office and a resolution ctieclaring this property to be a
nuisance shall be on file in the Ramsey C�o�unty Recorder's Office.
Ca�c�li.ance with the attached list of deficiencies will remove yaur
building fraa the list of abandoned bnildings but it does n�t mean that

appropri.ate codes. Permits must be obtair�ed where changes and/or additions
to an electrical system require upgrading of the service size to current
National Electrical Code (N.E.C.) requirements. Socc�e pltiuc�bing repairs may
necessitate �dating of the fixtures and/or piping inv�olved. A permit is
required to for any repair or new installation. Permits may be obtained
fram the Building Inspection and Design Division, Room 445 City Hall.
