Dear LeeAnn: Enclosed herewith please find an Ordinance dealing with the establishment of the City' s Hard Wired Smoke Detector program in single family dwellings . This draft is submitted to you as the previous draft was mis- titled. Further, I included an additional section in the enclosed draft to repeal the existing Chapter 58 of the Saint Paul Legislative Code dealing with this subject. The reason I did that is because , as you may recall , it was illegally enacted and so for the record I simply wanted to "clear the books" of the existing language and reenact the Ordinance in the enclosed form. I believe all concerns have now been put to rest and the Ordinance only needs to be processed for enactment. Yo truly, C-'' PAUL F .
