An ordinance amending section 160. 04 of the
Saint Paul Legislative Code pertaining to
parking meter zones ; commercial vehicles.
WHEREAS , The Council of the City of Saint Paul , by Ordinance
No. 17457 , C .F . No. 87-600 , adopted an amendment to section
160.04 of the Saint Paul Legislative Code providing a temporary
regulation for the parking of commercial vehicles , which ordinance
provided that it would expire after one year from the effective
date ; and
WHEREAS , The Council now intends to reenact said provision
so as to continue the regulation after the prior year ' s time;
now, therefore ,
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAINT PAUL DOES ORDAIN:
Section l .
That section 160. 04 of the Saint Paul Legislative Code ,
is hereby amended to read as follows :
160.04. Commercial vehicles.
(a) Between the hours of 8 : 00 and 11 :00 a.m. , clearly
designated commercial vehicles may park in a parking
meter space without payment of the fee , for the loading
or unloading of inerchandise , provided, that the loading
or unloading operation is carried out and tha-� the
v�hicle is moved out upon completion of that operation.
(b) Clearly designated commercial vehicles may
park at spaces indicated by signs and curb and sidewalk
markings as a loading zone for the purpose of loading

Commerce Commission-issued commercial vehicle license
or permit plates , stickers or other means of display
easily visible from the exterior of the vehicle identi-
fying the vehicle as licensed or permitted as a local
cartage carrier (LCC) , courier service carrier (CSC) ,
regular route common carrier (RRCC) , contract carrier
(CC) , irregular route common carrier (IRRCC) or as
a special parking permit vehicle pursuant to Chapter
167 of this Code.
Section 2.
This ordinance shall take effect and be in force thirty
days from and after its passage , approval and publication.
