WHEREAS, it is the policy of the City of St. Paul that its
citizens should be free of discrimination and harassment; and
WHEREAS, claims of racial harassment in the workplace have
been brought to the City' s attention and requests for corrective
action have been made; and
WHEREAS, when the City was informed of sexual harassment
charges, corrective guidelines were immediately prepared and
adopted; and, now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, the City Council hereby requests that the
appropriate city agency develop and submit to the Council, within
60 days, guidelines regarding racial harassment.
