RESOLVED, that the rate of pay for the classification of Real Estate
Manager be changed from the rate se forth in Grade 20, Section ID4, to
Grade 21, of the Professional Super isory Standard Ranges in the Salary
Plan and Rates of Compensation; and be it
FINALLY RESOLVED, that this re olution shall take effect and be in
force on the first pay period afte the passage, approval, and publication
of this resolution.

(Purpose/Rationale) :
This resolution changes the rate o pay for the title "Real Estate Manager"
(formerly called "Real Estate, Ris , and Facilities Manager") . This is a
result of a classification study r quested by the incumbent and supported by
the Department of Finance and Mana ement Services.
COST BENEFIT BUDGETARY AND PERSO L IMPACTS ANT CIPATED:
This is a single-incumbent title. The additional salary cost for the remainder
of 1988 will be approximately $670 00. The additional salary cost for one
full year will be approximately $1 60.00. This represents a 3$ increase for
the incumbent. This change should not impact the salary of any other title.

It should e noted that this divis on eliminated the position of Valuation and
Assessment Engineer in June of 198 . The annual salary for that position was
$53,881.32 (plus fringe benefits) . The duties of that position were divided
among three section managers: the Real Estate Manager, the Right-of-Way
Engineer, and the Supervisor of As essments.
The savings of $53,881.32 will be sed for an increase of $4864 to Chief
Internal Auditor's salary of $41,9 0, and the proposed increase of $1460 for
this title. The third title, "Sup rvisor of Assessments", is currently being
studied.
