WHEREAS, the City of aint Paul has invested substantial
sums of money in plantin trees in various public areas
throughout the City; and
WHEREAS, the current drought conditions in Minnesota
threaten many of these tree if they are not properly watered,
thus destroying beautiful public areas, and potentiatly
costing the City additional y large sums of money to replace
trees; therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Sai t Paui City Council hereby requests
the Mayor and the appropria e City departments to immediately
explore options for use of City equipment to water trees in
pubiic areas throughout the C 'ty, including public boulevards of
commercial districts, where it is infeasible for the trees to be
watered by private home owner or businesses.
